The National Service Training Program [NSTP] Law

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Law or RA 9163 was enacted last January 2002 to amend the Expanded ROTC. This program aims to enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of its three (3) program components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare.


NSTP - MAPÚA Office

The National Service Training Program of the Mapúa Institute of Technology Office also known as Headquarters, NSTP and the MAPÚA-ROTC Unit Office supervises the implementation of the Civic Welfare Training Service [CWTS] and the Reserve Officer Training Service [ROTC]. Its implementation is governed by R.A. 9163 of 2001.


MAPÚA - CWTS Office

The MAPÚA-CWTS Office shall serve as the coordinating body composed of MAPÚA-CWTS Program Coordinator, Staff and Facilitators. A committee, the CWTS Core Group, compose of eight (8) facilitators appointed by the EVPAA upon recommendation of the MAPÚA-CWTS Program Coordinator and Staff, serves as Recommending Body for plans, projects and programs of the MAPÚA-CWTS.

CWTS provides activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services.
